Internationale Gitarrenmatineen Düsseldorf - Samrat Majumder

For him, working with young, up-and-coming and talented classical guitarists is one of the most important projects: Samrat Majumder, a classical guitarist with Scottish-Indian roots.

With a Master of Music from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague and a Bachelor Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in his pocket, he has won prizes at competitions across Europe, including first prize at the Lichtenstein Guitar Days, the Baltic Guitar Festival and the Harmonia Cordis International Guitar Festival.

Outside of his performing activities, Samrat is involved in classical guitar education projects in India and offers free mentoring programs for young, talented Indian students who wish to study abroad. Samrat is also an ambassador for the guitar and harp department of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

He is currently preparing for his concert exam at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf with Professor Alexander Ramirez.
