Smoother, swinging sound that fills the room - sometimes soft and bouncy, sometimes heavy grooving, sometimes all blues. Iso Herquist takes the swing tunes of the golden jazz era and turns them into his very own mix: spontaneous, charming and full of energy. With his ukulele, he brings an unexpected sound into play - not a gimmick, but a serious instrument with surprising depth.
His voice sounds like a smoky, lively jazz club after a very long night: velvety and scratchy at the same time, full of longing and soul. Like your favorite terrycloth pajamas that have been washed too hot. Like missing the bus in the pouring rain. Simply: a full broadside of blues. Iso is accompanied by two outstanding musicians who not only carry his musical escapades, but enrich them: Thore Benz (double bass) provides the rich, earthy foundation, Uta Wagner (drums) 's got the stable, danceable rhythm.
