Izabella Effenberg & Sisters in Jazz

Polish vibraphonist and composer Izabella Effenberg's performances are a feast for the ears and eyes, not least thanks to the countless exotic instruments she masters. Her musical cosmos moves between jazz, classical and world music. For this concert, the much-honored musician gathers a group of renowned Polish jazz musicians around her - all of them unique instrumentalists: Guitarist Magdalena Czwojda, bassist Klaudia Wachtarczyk and drummer Dorota Piotrowska.
Jazz has always had a special significance in Poland - as an expression of freedom, creativity and openness to the world. Even in times of political oppression, it was seen as a symbol of resistance and artistic independence. The Polish jazz tradition is rich and vibrant, shaped by personalities such as Krzysztof Komeda, whose music still resonates today.
