Jam Session

In the organizer's words:

With his music, Munich trumpeter and composer Benjamin Stadler tells stories about homesickness and family, about melancholy thoughts of the past and finding a place in the present. Influenced by musicians such as Esbjörn Svensson, Mathias Eick and Shai Maestro, Benjamin's music invites you to lose yourself in your own thoughts. Sometimes with strong rhythmic figures and chord sequences, sometimes with simple, enchanted sounds - but always guided by his distinctive vibrato on the trumpet and occasionally accompanied by his voice.

Benjamin played the trumpet with his father as a child and later studied jazz trumpet at the MUK in Vienna and at Codarts University in Rotterdam, where he completed his bachelor's degree in 2021. In 2025, he completed his trumpet master's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

Benjamin was part of the Dutch Jong Metropole Orchestra in 2021. In 2022, he received the German Music Council scholarship and the "Young Art and New Paths" scholarship from the Free State of Bavaria for his musical work.
