The BREMEN IMPROVISERS TRIO is the band of the founders of the IMPROVISATIONEN concert series, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. The music of BIT is influenced by many years of collaboration with musicians, visual artists, dancers, filmmakers, photographers, word artists and performers of the most diverse styles.

With their new duo program, pianist Benny Grenz and jazz singer Antonia Wohlgemuth create an intimate yet colourful sound space in which stories unfold and emotions become immediately tangible.The repertoire combines classics and original pieces in a very personal way: Songs by musicians such as Carla Bley, Norma Winstone and Joni Mitchell meet the duo's own compositions as well as selected jazz standards. The result is a mixture of lyrical depth, improvisational freedom and a fine musical dialog.
