The pianist Horace Silver, co-founder of the famous Jazz Messengers, was one of the most important representatives of the hard bop era. He was influenced by numerous musical styles, especially gospel, African and Latin American music. His best-known title "Song for My Father" was in the charts for a long time and has long since become part of the standard repertoire. Horace Silver is one of the most important representatives of the BLUE NOTE era of the 60s, saxophonist Jason Seizer dedicates this evening to him, with a selection of the most beautiful compositions by this exceptional musician.
