International Jazz Day mit Hania Derej und dem Institute of Sounds

In the organizer's words:

We are celebrating International Jazz Day and making a whole evening out of it.

The opening act will be the young Polish pianist, composer, arranger and conductor Hania Derej, one of the most exciting voices in Poland's current music scene. With remarkable musical maturity and sparkling energy, she combines classical influences with modern jazz in her compositions to create something completely unique. Together with surprise guests, a session full of unexpected encounters will be created. Who will be there remains a secret. Just this much: the evening promises real jazz spirit.

We are particularly looking forward to Vladyslav Sendecki, one of Europe's most renowned jazz pianists. He will host the evening for us and give it an additional perspective with some personal thoughts on the role of jazz in our time.

Afterwards we will celebrate: Institute of Sounds, the Hamburg DJ collective led by Max Stark, Saudy and Emin Organic, will transform the evening into a journey through the world of dancefloor jazz and far beyond. Soul and Samba, Afrobeat and Anatolian Rock, Tropical Disco and Conscious Hiphop. What they have in common is a deep love of music in all its diversity.
