Born in Israel, Eyal Lovett is one of the most fascinating jazz pianists and bandleaders currently active in Europe. His albums have been released on the Bremen label BERTHOLD records since 2019.
Eyal's music is strongly characterized by storytelling, by profound, thoughtful compositions. Inspired by artists such as Bill Evans, Brad Mehldau as well as Avishai Cohen, Shai Maestro and Gilad Hekselman, his music is characterized by a "classical" architecture and development, rhythmic complexity and haunting Mediterranean melodies.
In 2022, Eyal graduated from the prestigious soloist program at the Royal Academy of Music, Aalborg, where he is now a lecturer himself.
Guitarist Eran Har Even (also born in Israel) lives in Amsterdam. In 2012, Eran completed his master's degree at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he also teaches today. He is one of the most active personalities on the Dutch jazz scene.
Like Eyal, Eran is also a storyteller on his instrument. His nuanced, warm playing naturally complements Eyal's piano sound and creates captivating dialogs full of expressiveness. A deeply honest and emotional music in which you can lose yourself as a listener.
