Jim Avignon - "long story short"

In the organizer's words:

Jim Avignon sees himself as a kind of storyteller in pictures with a certain talent for presenting complex issues in a reduced and condensed form. You could also describe his pictures as graphic novels in just one picture and without a speech bubble. Long story short! His paintings merge the private and the public, the social and the political, lightness and heaviness. He has not only been documenting the signs of the times for many years, he also questions, reflects and comments - but never becomes dogmatic and always remains humanistic.

The exhibition will feature almost exclusively new works, ranging in size from laptop to cupboard wall. Most of his ideas are only just emerging and are still top secret until the vernissage. We can reveal in advance that Avignon is planning interactive installations such as a virtual psychiatrist and a large self-built jukebox, which can also be viewed.
