The highly acclaimed concert series featuring guitarist and bandleader Joe Krieg is entering the next round - and this time it has a very special highlight in store: None other than the exceptional award-winning trumpeter Joo Kraus will be our guest!
Joo Kraus - five-time winner of the Jazz Award, ECHO Jazz Award winner and Grammy nominee - is one of the most influential personalities on the European jazz scene. With his unique sound language, his stage presence and an international career (including with the successful Tab Two project), he brings a concentrated load of musical energy to the stage.
Together with the Joe Krieg Quartet, they form a real musical dream team. Joe Krieg, who as a style-defining guitarist and "melody-bopper" has developed his own signature between modern mainstream and creative jazz progressivism, proves once again that jazz is lively, exciting and full of surprises.
Also taking part is the great Matthias Bublath - pianist, keyboardist and organist of international stature. He lived and worked in the jazz metropolis of New York for nine years. This formative time shaped him into one of the most sought-after jazz musicians in Germany. His playing: virtuosic, cross-style, captivating.
Together with Uli Kleideiter (drums) and Felix Himmler (bass), the result is an ensemble that is not only technically brilliant, but above all impresses with its joy of playing, interaction and musical depth.
An evening full of grooving melodies, passionate improvisations and first-class jazz - live and up close!
