The trio of the German-Mexican guitarist and singer presents the debut album "Niña Piña", which was composed on the Pacific Ocean and recorded in Mexico City in 2022. The compositions of the cosmopolitan bandleader, who has lived and worked in Latin America, Africa and India, among other places, bring diverse cultural influences. "A delightful redefinition of cross-cultural music" is how the magazine "Jazzthing" described earlier works by the guitarist. His sensitive singing in his native Spanish captures the audience on a personal level and enchants them. The outstanding musicians of the Cologne scene and long-time companions Thomas Esch and Roman Fuchs form a flexible and rhythmically adept foundation for the trio. The trio is constantly exploring new horizons and never allows the music to become a fixed construct through interaction and complexity. Rather, it allows the music to emerge anew at every moment, just as the waves on the ocean emerge anew each time.
