With "Josefine, the Singer or The People of the Mice", Franz Kafka, who was already seriously ill, wrote his last surviving short story. In the fate of a lonely mouse singer, it deals with the role of the artist in an exhausted society. Newcomer director Clara Freitag takes on this special material in a new musical development that explores the significance of art and artists in times of crisis.
