Josh Island connects people with music. On his new album Imaginary Borders, which will be released in March 2026, he questions the walls we build around ourselves - both physically and emotionally - and calls on us to approach ourselves and the world with more empathy and openness. The Rhein-Zeitung newspaper described him as "the voice of Europe". It is probably no coincidence that Josh lives just 15 minutes away from the village of Schengen, where the famous agreement to overcome such borders was signed.

The Luxembourg-born singer-songwriter combines catchy melodies with introspective but hopeful storytelling - inspired by artists such as Fink, Sting and James Bay. At the age of 15, he made his first rounds through the Luxembourg music scene and soon opened concerts for international acts such as James Morrison, Passenger, Katie Melua, Clueso and Nico Santos, and performed at the Reeperbahn Festival and Schlossgrabenfest. In his home country, he plays at the biggest festivals and stages, and impresses with his powerful voice, captivating stage show and personal contact with the audience.

Imaginary Borders is a melting pot of indie pop and folk, with stories about travel, love, mythology and growing up in a fast-paced world. The record was created between bandmates in Luxembourg, studios in Lisbon and Amsterdam, and Josh's adopted home of Athens. An album that is just as transgressive as the stories of its narrator.
