10 years of Medichor Düsseldorf!

The Medichor of Düsseldorf's Heinrich Heine University is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and will be back at the beginning of November with an extraordinary concert! The singers are delighted to invite you to the big anniversary concert on Sunday, November 9 at 1 pm in the Stadthalle Neuss. The audience can look forward to an afternoon full of music, memories and community from a decade of Medichor - a real highlight for all fans and those who want to become fans! The musical program will be created by the Medichor in its current line-up and a project choir founded especially for the concert. It will be particularly emotional, not least because of the "Ära-Chor", in which over 100 current and former singers will perform well-known Medichor classics such as "The Flood" (Take That), "It's Raining Men" (The Weather Girls) and "Save The World" (Swedish House Mafia) live on stage.

The Medichor (short for Studierendenchor der Medizinischen Fakultät Düsseldorf e.V.), which was once born as a small initiative of music-loving students, is now a permanent institution of the local medical faculty. The choir was originally formed as part of the traditional memorial service for relatives of body donors at the Faculty of Medicine. This unique project has developed into a choir based on a shared enthusiasm for singing, giving young students a space to breathe, to develop creatively, to make friends and, last but not least, a space for music! The impressive diversity of the repertoire, from classical choral literature to modern arrangements - some of which are even written by the choir itself - is thanks to the variety of people who meet and work together here. Whether from the Munich Boys' Choir, from the Ten Sing youth music project, from the school or community choir or as a choir newcomer: all choir members are united by their enthusiasm for music. With this enthusiasm, the Medichor not only enriches the personal lives of the singers, but also the cultural life of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf for the tenth year in a row.
