Five years after his (solo) debut, Julian Rybarski returns with an album that carries tradition and renewal in equal measure. FAINT EASTERN GLOW (release date: September 5, 2025) is a work about new beginnings and new starts, about hope and community, about depression and healing - and about the search for a place in a world that needs to change and the courage to stand up for what is right. Even Gelsenkirchen, home and at the same time the "poorest city in Germany", becomes a symbol of what is possible if you don't give up despite all the adversity.

Rybarski moves firmly within the sound space of rock music - characterized by Americana, indie, blues, soul and alt country - and at the same time breaks with its traditional role models. Julian's music stands for empathy instead of harshness, vulnerability instead of clichés, hope instead of cynicism. In this way, he makes rock accessible to people who never feel represented by the classic image of the genre but love its sound. Musically, a lot of guitar and polyphonic vocals meet unusual timbres such as flugelhorn, bass flute or cello.

Julian draws inspiration from many sources - from Bonnie Raitt and Chris Stapleton to the Beach Boys, Black Keys and Wilco. The result is a dense sound that is both tradition-conscious and forward-looking, giving the album a clear musical thread.

Since his debut in 2020, several EPs and singles, Julian Rybarski has built up a steadily growing audience in Germany and internationally.
