Junge Stimmen der Literatur – Shortlist-Lesung – Literaturpreis der deutschen Wirtschaft 2026

The Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft once again invites you to a special evening at the Münchner Kammerspiele. The three finalists of the literature prize, Nina Bußmann, Marius Goldhorn and Ozan Zakariya Keskinkılıç, will present their works, provide insights into their creative process and talk about their inspirations. Actors from the Münchner Kammerspiele ensemble will read selected passages and combine readings with staged performances.

The reading will be moderated by literary critic Marie Schoeß.

Following the reading, the jury - consisting of Barbara Mundel (Director of Münchner Kammerspiele), Maryam Aras (author and literary critic), Dr. Ronald Düker (literary critic) and members of the Literature Committee of the Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft - will meet to select the winner. The result will be announced on the same evening.

The Kulturkreis der deutschen Wirtschaft awards the Literature Prize to outstanding contemporary literary voices. Winners who have been supported by the Kulturkreis at an early stage include Heinrich Böll, Ingeborg Bachmann, Paul Celan, Günter Grass, Nelly Sachs, Marie Luise Kaschnitz, Elias Canetti, Robert Menasse, Daniel Kehlmann, Clemens J. Setz and Nino Haratischwili. The most recent winners were Dana Vowinckel, Lukas Rietzschel and Lena Gorelik.

The prize is endowed with 20,000 euros and sets an example for the relevance of young contemporary literature.
