Kammermusikfinale - Telekom Beethoven Competition

In the organizer's words:

The finalists will each play one of Ludwig van Beethoven's piano trios with the Beethoven Trio Bonn. Works in which the spirit of chamber music dialog unfolds in the highest density. The finalists present themselves here not only as soloists, but as equal partners in the ensemble. This round of judging calls for communicative musicality, sensitivity in ensemble playing and a sense of balance and sound culture. And the audience has the opportunity to experience the young candidates from a different perspective.

The program is complemented by a contemporary work for piano solo, composed in the 21st century. This juxtaposition creates contrasts and bridges at the same time: it opens up space for the young pianists to interpret current compositions individually and gives an insight into the broad spectrum of their creative possibilities - beyond the classical repertoire.
