Just as the Dolomites have always been considered one of the greatest and most magnificent treasures of the Alps, they are also the greatest treasure for their fans: the Kastelruther Spatzen are a true and unique phenomenon. For almost 50 years, their music has conveyed a deep sense of home, reflecting the beauty of the South Tyrolean Alps, rock-solid solidarity and loving warmth.

Their very first album was a huge success, and 49 more followed, earning them a total of more than 13 ECHOs, numerous gold and platinum awards and some of the most coveted prizes. Not least thanks to their celebrated live performances and the legendary annual Spatzenfests, they are among the most successful and popular artists on the German-language folk music and pop scene.

In 2026/2027, the seven-piece band will be coming to Germany on a major "Dolomiten-Schatz" tour - news that should please not only the most loyal fans immensely. There's no doubt about it: the Kastelruther Spatzen belong to South Tyrol like the mountains and Kaiserschmarrn. This hugely popular music group has always stood for traditional values, deep religiousness, sincerity, consistency and endless joie de vivre, and not just in South Tyrol.

It would be unthinkable not to experience the band live on stage at some point. However, when singer and frontman Norbert Rier recently had to undergo a necessary heart operation, the fan community collectively held its breath. The relief was all the greater when the good news spread that the operation had been successful, Norbert was recovering well and was already looking forward to future projects and gigs.

The focus is now on the announcement of their new tour "Dolomiten-Schatz", with which the audience favorites will return to the big stage in 2026/2027. In their luggage they have the new songs from their album of the same name as well as fans' favorites, which they will present with great passion as usual.

The Kastelruther Spatzen have always wanted to address topics that touch people. So their 50th album is once again about home, the beautiful mountain world, traditions, longing and love - but also about socially relevant questions that make you think.

The songs are characterized by great emotional and lyrical depth - even the title invites you to become aware of the treasures of life. Songs full of love, gratitude and genuine closeness to nature wrapped in beautiful melodies take center stage. But of course, fans who prefer to party will also get their money's worth, as the Spatzen know better than almost any other band how to create a rousing atmosphere with their cheerful and lively songs.

On their "Dolomiten-Schatz" tour in 2026/2027, Norbert Rier and the rest of the Kastelruther Spatzen will also ignite a musical firework display of their most beautiful and popular songs - with many moments that will get under your skin. Anyone who has already experienced the Spatzen live knows that they can look forward to a special evening full of great emotions, touching songs and an enthusiastic, cheerful band.

Because even after five decades, the Kastelruther Spatzen have not lost the joy of making music and celebrating with their fans.
