In the organizer's words:

"Lovedance" deals with love from a queer perspective. As a counterpart to the love song, Katharina Senzenberger and her team embark on a search for a love dance that approaches love as a flight of fancy. The dance performance encourages reflection on the possibilities of being together and creates new forms of togetherness.

The choreography draws on a collective archive of affective dance forms and romantic gestures such as the Viennese waltz and pas de deux from the entertainment industry, which are embodied and questioned by the performers.

Between dependence and trust, leading and following, resistance and devotion, the duet is dedicated to a practice of relation-making that speculates on how complex and ambivalent our relationships can become. In a gently spectacular way, "Lovedance" nests itself on cloud nine. Without fear of overlapping expressive kitsch, confrontation, lightness, drama, rawness, care and maximum sincerity, passionate togetherness unfolds as a subtle intermediate state.
