In the organizer's words:

Water is a vital resource for people and the environment; all natural and man-made habitats on earth depend on water. A safe water supply and access to sanitation are human rights recognized by the United Nations. They are also one of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 6) of the 2030 Agenda.

For this reason, Engagement Global's joint work on sustainability in 2026 is dedicated to the topic of water. The content of the event will be supported by RENN e.V.

The event will include an expert panel and a good practice forum where organizations from the water sector will present their project work. In the afternoon, community goals on various water topics will be developed in parallel workshops, the implementation of which should contribute to water protection throughout 2026.

Organizations and municipal actors from the water sector as well as companies active in the water sector are therefore particularly welcome. However, the event is explicitly aimed at all members of the sustainability community, regardless of whether water is relevant professionally, in a voluntary capacity or as a citizen interested in sustainability.
