Regensburg anno 1630. Saturday, November 16th.
The city is in turmoil. A few days ago, Emperor Ferdinand II's wife was crowned in the cathedral. Tomorrow the Catholic Majesties will leave for Vienna. In the midst of all this, Helmi Kanter, a long-time servant in the Kepler household, is desperately trying to keep track of everything: Because on November 15, the Protestant court mathematician and astronomer Johannes Kepler died in the imperial city! The 59-year-old scholar had only arrived here a few days earlier after days of violent trekking. His goal: to meet the imperial generalissimo Wallenstein, who still owed him a lot of money, at the Electors' Day that had been taking place since July. But he was not there and had been dismissed by the Emperor just a few weeks earlier! And now Kepler is dead. His family is far away. Helmi Kanter is alone and must act. She sees Kepler's revolutionary findings threatened by conservative Catholic forces in Regensburg. She wants to get his tools and papers, which are scattered all over the city, to safety as quickly as possible. So she roams the streets and feverishly tries to find a solution ...
