"What is feminist philosophy of technology and why do we need it?"
Prof. Dr. Toni Loh, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences
"All about bias? Feminist AI ethics in the health sector"
Dr. Eva Maria Hille, University of Bonn
How is artificial intelligence shaping our society - and who is shaping AI? As part of the "AI Perspectives" event series, a cooperation between the Deutsches Museum Bonn and the Center for Science and Thought at the University of Bonn, we are examining AI design, use and regulation from different perspectives and going into depth with different experts.
The event is dedicated to the intersection of feminism and artificial intelligence and sheds light on why feminist ethics are indispensable in technology development. The focus will be on questions of power structures, bias in algorithms, data justice and inclusive design. Together with Toni Loh and Eva Maria Hille, we will discuss how technologies can be made fairer and what responsibility developers, companies and society have in this regard.
The event series is organized by the Center for Science and Thought at the University of Bonn in cooperation with the Deutsches Museum Bonn and its support association "WISSENschaf(f)t SPASS".
The event will be held in German. Free admission!
