About the movie:

The 85-year-old djane from Warsaw "DJ Vika" is a celebrated star of the Polish party scene. She refuses to grow old and sit at home. Instead, she celebrates life, herself and enjoys music. When she looks back on her life, there is her job as a prison teacher, her children and a difficult childhood. She only lived for others. After retiring, she began to reinvent herself and only do what she is passionate about. Now she refuses to conform to the expectations of others and slip into a role that doesn't do her justice. For the first time in her life, Vika is living her dream. "VIKA!" is a film that questions and goes into depth about the value of life and the journey of self-discovery. It encourages us to take advantage of the different paths that life offers while remaining true to ourselves. This very creative and anything but dry documentary is enriched by beautiful music and artistic dance interludes. A very special jewel in the cinematic sky that should not be missed.

DJ Vika, 85-letnia DJ-ka z Warszawy, jest uznaną gwiazdą polskiej sceny imprezowej. Nie chce się zestarzeć i siedzieć w domu. Zamiast tego celebruje życie, siebie i muzykę. Patrząc wstecz, wspomina pracę wychowawcy więziennego, swoje dzieci i trudne dzieciństwo. Żyła tylko dla innych. Po przejściu na emeryturę zaczęła się zmieniać i robić tylko to, co ją pasjonowało. Teraz nie chce poddawać się oczekiwaniom innych i wplątywać się w rolę, która jej nie odpowiada. Po raz pierwszy w życiu Vika spełnia swoje marzenia.
