This meeting for cinema lovers is about helping to organize and run the new cinema series "Kino im Sojus 7".

In Monheim's old town - Turmstraße 21 to be precise - films flickered across the screen from 1927 to 1968. Now a cinema will be built there again, and the people of Monheim am Rhein will be able to help shape its program. However, as the conversion of the building will take some time, we are starting with the new participatory cinema in the new Sojus 7, which will also take over the organization of cinema operations in the old town.

At this meeting, all interested parties can take part in an exchange and have a say in what the program of the new film series should look like. Everyone is welcome and can participate in the organization and implementation of cinema events with or without a supporting program.

Background: A survey showed that citizens would like to see music or art house films as well as original films with subtitles or screenings of private and regional contemporary documents. Educational programs, discussions and lectures should also find a place in the cinema. It is intended to be a place for coming together, creativity and cultural education - just like Sojus 7.
