In the search for a November film, the cinema group quickly settled on the global cult classic by Jim Jarmusch.
In five episodes, "Night on Earth" tells of the events of one night that take place in various metropolitan areas. The ludicrous and curious experiences of cab drivers and their passengers begin at dusk in Los Angeles, continue via New York to Paris and Rome and finally end at dawn in Helsinki.
The quirky and warm-hearted film constantly oscillates between humor and dramatic seriousness and cemented the director's reputation as a master of offbeat humor. With an ingenious soundtrack by Tom Waits, the film ends with a conciliatory view of our planet.
