A very personal documentary by Lars Jessen.

The film takes a look behind the scenes of Robert Habeck's 2025 election campaign - a campaign that began with great expectations and ended with significant losses for the Greens. Habeck then retires from politics. Hardly any German politician has polarized more in recent years: For some he is a beacon of hope, for others a projection screen for all disappointments.

Lars Jessen - filmmaker, friend, advisor and long-time companion - is looking for answers: Why did things turn out this way? What went wrong and how can progressive politics succeed again in times of populism? In his search, Jessen talks to companions from all phases of Habeck's life: from politics and his school days, as well as neuroscientists and communication scientists.
