In the organizer's words:

A movie night for everyone who loves films and especially for people who (want to) make films themselves. Every two months we show indie cinema, far removed from mainstream cinema. Kulturhaus Schwanen invites you to the eighth edition of Kino & Quatschen on Thursday, January 22, 2026. The format brings a breath of fresh air to the regional cinema landscape every two months: indie films, short films and documentaries that rarely find a place in mainstream cinema are shown on the big screen - and open up new perspectives on the medium of film.

Which film will be shown that evening remains a surprise until the announcement.
But one thing is certain: it will be a work that inspires, challenges and provides food for thought. Because that's exactly what Kino & Quatschen stands for: After the screening, the room will be open for discussion. The audience, filmmakers and actors can talk, share impressions, make contacts and perhaps even collaborate on new projects.

Once again, the Kulturhaus Schwanen will be a meeting place for everyone who loves films - whether as an audience member or actively involved in the scene. Anyone interested in encounters away from the red carpet will find an open, curious environment here.

Admission is free. For all those who would like to support the format, solidarity tickets between 5 and 15 euros are available in advance and at the Box Office.
