Anna-Karina Barthel and Carlotta Ribbe met during their studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts and have been playing a mixture of their own compositions and arrangements of well-known melodies since 2022.

In an unusual combination of voice and vibraphone, the artists create a special world of sound in their interplay. The duo breaks through the traditional functions of accompanying and melodic instruments and shapes their music through constant interaction, similar to an exciting conversation. Together they combine music and emotion in a varied interplay of spherical, melancholic and rhythmically precise moments.
