Klara Geist

The band Klara Geist, rooted in the North Hessian music scene, consists of the powerful trio Konstantin Walde (drums), Johannes Müller (bass) and Max Amling (guitar and vocals). With their unique blend of hard, rhythmic sounds reminiscent of the American punk bands of the late 70s and early 80s and more melodic, poppy influences from the alternative rock of the 90s, they create a distinctive sound that is both nostalgic and refreshingly new.

Klara Geist sings in German and deals with topics that concern the band members in the here and now. Their lyrics are characterized by an authentic view of the world we live in and combine seriousness with a pinch of humour. The band shows that culture is a communal task that should not fall into the clutches of industry, but must be supported and shaped by the people themselves.

What particularly distinguishes Klara Geist are their deliberately simple song structures, which do not follow a standard formula. Instead, they celebrate making music as a creative process that leaves room for individuality and experimentation. On 16.08. from 7 pm we cordially invite you to the release concert of Klara Geist and her debut album "Nachtisch passt immer noch rein" at our café. You can look forward to all her fast and slow, beautiful and sad songs - with lyrics from her life! Klara Geist aren't quite sure themselves whether they play alternative rock or punk... well, it doesn't really matter.
