Klassische Stadtführung durch die Lüneburger Altstadt

Lüneburg: medieval metropolis, proud Hanseatic city and modern university town.

Experience the sights of Lüneburg on a joint tour through the medieval quarters of the old town. We start at the historic harbor on the Ilmenau, where salt - the city's white gold - was once shipped and which is now a popular meeting place for tourists and locals alike.

On the way, an experienced guide will tell us informative and entertaining stories about the Hanseatic city, the salt and its inhabitants. We pass the magnificent gabled houses of the Sülfmeister and master brewers, walk through the quiet alleyways of the subsidence area and stroll along the historic town wall.

We end the tour in the city center at the market square in front of the historic town hall with its magnificent baroque façade.

We recommend being at the meeting point approx. 10 minutes before the start. Please have your ticket ready (on your smartphone or printed out). The tour leads through streets with cobblestones, so we recommend sturdy shoes.

The tour is aimed at adults and young people, younger children are of course allowed to come along and do not need their own ticket for the tour up to and including the age of 8.
