Kleiner Freitag: Bias und KI – „Künstlerische Perspektiven auf Künstliche Intelligenz und Vorurteile“

In the organizer's words:

Today, artificial intelligence makes it possible to produce creative works such as digital images, music or performances in a short space of time. However, the results often reflect the biases and values of training data and thus often lead to stereotypical or distorted representations of people and groups. The influence of technical structures and human decisions on the results often goes unnoticed.

The invited artists will provide insights into their artistic engagement with AI programs and open up a joint discussion on how we can deal with them creatively and consciously. Afterwards, a round table will invite participants to discuss these questions together and contribute their own perspectives.

Our guests:

Darbyn Luisa Kalkül, director of "Queeres Theater Kollektiv" in Dortmund, presents the intermedia performance "The Unknown Flesh", which explores perspectives on gender diversity with AI.

Kevin Clever, digital artist and technical director of "Queeres Theater Kollektiv" in Dortmund, presents the technical development process behind "The Unknown Flesh" and the work with AI programs.

Florencia Alonso, digital artist and creative developer, gives us insights into her artistic work at the interface between technology design, programming and artistic reflection.
