In the organizer's words:

To further establish Bochumer Strasse as a nightlife district in Gelsenkirchen. That is the aim of KOMMSE ÜCKEN?! - the quarterly night in the creative quarter in Ückendorf that has been taking place since 2022. The participating locations always offer "more than usual": For example, a theater performance or live music takes place in the pub, a DJ plays in front of the Greek chip shop or there is a techno rave in the empty supermarket. The district is taken as it is - not hip mainstream, but subcultural and authentic. Free admission everywhere, you can wander from location to location.

6 p.m. Correctiv Panel Talk: Nightlife in Gelsenkirchen
Journalist Tobias Hauswurz (Correctiv Spotlight Gelsenkirchen) talks with guests familiar with the scene about Gelsenkirchen's nightlife and what it needs to flourish in the future - A good address (Bochumer Str. 100)

6pm-10pm Virtual Kinetic Landscapes
VR installation in the pop-up store: a journey through an interactive, kinetic landscape with immersive sounds - mxr lab (Bochumer Str. 109)

6pm-10pm Beatcafé
Café Ütelier will be open late again for the Ücken and offers you a chill-out station with hot drinks and DJ sets by Home Grown Raps (hip-hop) before the night gets wild - Café Ütelier (Bochumer Str. 114)

From 6 pm vintage vinyl & cocktails
Northern Soul, Rhythm'n'Blues & Rock 'n' Roll on 45s records only! 50s & 60s underground dance tracks with DJ Don and DJ King Coleman Jr. - Djammeh Juices (Bochumer Str. 102)

The skate ramp becomes a danceable mulled wine stand - without Last Christmas, but with Afro / Dancehall / Latin by DJ Louis from Wuppertal and Alternative / HipHop by the 1Null7 residents - 1Null7 (Bochumer Str. 117)

From 6 pm X-Mas Skatejam
Christmas carols, Secret Santa and other small Christmas specials as part of a well-kept skateboard session in the old supermarket - ex-kauver (Bochumer Str. 156)

From 18:30 Kommse Baracke
The HIND Ückendorf becomes the Baracke Bochum. The collective, known for excellent raves at the Goethebunker (Essen) or Schlegel Kultur Club (Bochum), among others, will delight friends of sophisticated techno - HIER IST NICHT DA (Bochumer Str. 138)

8 pm Malmø live

8 pm Abu Jeffrey + Band live
The "Essen City President" Dein Couseng has his alter ego Abu Jeffrey with him on the S-Bahn journey to GE. Dreamy disco music meets Ruhrpott-representer rap - Rosamunde (Bochumer Str. 117)

8 pm Müde & Desolat live
Insane double feature! Müde from Dorsten will be spitting skate punk at your feet and you can experience your "Ückendorfication" with the Gelsenkirchen grunge punk greats from Desolat - Trinkhalle am Flöz (Bochumer Str. 139)

8 pm "Before the Dawn (Şafak)" - an evening about Sevgi Soysal
Translator Judith Braselmann-Aslantaş and Gelsenkirchen writer Akın Emanuel Şipal talk about one of the most important authors in Turkish literature - readymade.books (Bochumer Str. 108)

20:30 E.N.D.E. live + after-show party
E.N.D.E. deliver Dub / Dubstep / Drum&Bass from Essen - electronic music improvised with "real" instruments. Afterwards, DJ Mighty Edge of Glory from Aachen (reggae & dub) will heat things up - GeOrgel (Bochumer Str. 150)

10 pm Girl and the Fox live
