In the organizer's words:

Born in Barth on the Baltic Sea, my grandfather instilled a love of drawing in me as a child. He was a painter and conjured up wonderful still lifes with oil paints.

I have been drawing since I was a child. In the last few years, I have been able to occupy myself intensively with painting, where I immerse myself, let go of the everyday and am completely with myself.

Painting is my passion, I look for harmony, clear colors and the beauty of the picture. I develop my way of expression with oil and watercolors in an impressionistic style. Letting go of something, experimenting, impressions and subjective reproduction, for me this is the beginning of a process of trial and error. Abstraction is an attempt to concentrate on the essentials.

Nature is a model and inspiration for me. I am connected to my homeland, love the Baltic Sea and the landscapes of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. I have lived with my family in Schwerin since 1992. My children's motifs are a look back at my own childhood by the sea and the wonderful memories of the time spent with our children. At the same time, the pictures embody the desire for light-heartedness and freedom.

Depicting the flowing colors of the watercolors in pictures has challenged me anew.

Each picture is unique, a one-off, it reflects the feeling that influenced the moment of its creation.
