The Harbour Front Literature Festival is looking forward to a special evening with Konstantin Wecker - poet, musician, composer and unwavering voice of humanism. In the Laeiszhalle, the great song poet and his trio will present a musical reading that delves deep into the artist's personal and political life. With songs and texts from his latest book Der Liebe zuliebe, Wecker looks back on the stages of an eventful life - poetically, powerfully, vulnerably. Between music, meditation, mysticism and the courage to change, the result is an evening that invites you to pause for a moment - and encourages hope. About the book "For the sake of love"

Der Liebe zuliebe is an autobiographical, poetic inventory: on the terrace of his house in Tuscany, Konstantin Wecker takes stock - of ups and downs, of his own struggles with depression, addiction and anger, of longing, spirituality and peace.

The lyrics revolve around big questions: What gives life meaning? What keeps us going in dark times? How can we become more loving, more mindful, more human - with ourselves and with others?
