Konzert: Heavenphetamine & Cat Woywod (Experimental/Krautrock Japan)

Heavenphetamine is a duo consisting of Hiroki and Sara who combine KrautRock, Experimental, Post Punk, Progressive Rock, Trip Hop and Acid House to create a unique sound. Complex synth loops, live drumming and melodic Japanese vocals characterize their sonic identity.

After releasing two post-punk EPs and moving to Tbilisi, they built a deep connection to Ukraine and played a defining show in Kiev just before the war.

After the invasion, they embarked on a charity tour of Europe and later recorded an album in Kiev amidst air raids and power outages.

In 2024, they released "The Sun On A Winter Day" under the Ukrainian label Kontrabass Promo.

Cat Woywod's live compositions interweave sound topographies with field recordings, electronic modulation and voice, catalyzing possible futures through non-linear experiences of time. Between meditation and catharsis, site-specific rituals reflect human and non-human sensory experiences. Frequently commissioned for film scores, sound installations, instrumental compositions and sound designs, Cat Woywod also works internationally as a live performer with dancers and multidisciplinary artists. Dreaming through the ears, it creates a time-space for sonic cripqueer hope in the midst of apocalyptic catastrophe.
