As part of the preparations for a "defense case", the healthcare system is also being targeted. Hospitals are to be made fit for war - corresponding measures are already underway. The consequences for structures and staff are far-reaching. What exactly is being prepared here, on what legal basis - and is this inevitable? Are there alternatives so that the healthcare system and employees can remain civilian?

Speakers:

Dr. Angelika Claußen is a practising doctor of psychiatry and psychotherapy with decades of experience in working with people traumatized by war. She has been a member of the medical association since 1986 and is currently co-chair of the German IPPNW section. She is involved in the planning of the IPPNW campaign against the militarization of the health system.

Prof. Dr. Andreas Fisahn is Professor of Public Law at the University of Bielefeld and a liaison lecturer at the Hans Böckler and Rosa Luxemburg Foundations. He deals with questions of constitutional law, in particular the transformation of democracy and the rule of law.
