An interactive investigative adventure on the island
What happens when an idyllic vacation suddenly turns into a crime scene? On the Fehmarn Crime Trail, you take on the role of an investigator and embark on an exciting search for clues through Burg auf Fehmarn. Equipped with your smartphone and a digital investigation file, you explore the island on your own, collect clues, solve puzzles and decide for yourself which clues to follow first. The crime trail is an interactive outdoor experience that can be played at any time - without a fixed start date and at your own pace.
The case you are investigating on Fehmarn is as mysterious as it is disturbing: art collector Henry is found dead in his vacation apartment - stabbed to death with a kitchen knife. He had actually only come to the island to buy an extraordinary painting by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. But that never happens. The painting has disappeared. And there is also no trace of Henry's partner Halima.
With hardly any usable evidence, the police are groping in the dark. Was the valuable work of art the real target of the crime? Or do the motives lie deeper - in Henry's private life, his relationships or old conflicts?
Now it's up to you. With detective flair, you follow the last traces of the art collector and try to find out what really happened on Fehmarn - and who is behind the crime.
During your investigation, you will question witnesses and suspects, check alibis and combine clues. You have to make decisions again and again: Which clue is relevant, which statement is credible? The case demands a close look, logical thinking and teamwork - because not every lead is as clear-cut as it seems at first glance.
Your investigation will take you through Burg auf Fehmarn. From the town library in the town park, you head into the town center, past the market square, the Burg Film Theater and St. Nikolai Church. The quiet alleyways and small-town maritime flair form an exciting contrast to the dark history of the case. In between, cafés and restaurants invite you to take short breaks - perfect for sorting out clues and forging new theories.
