When perception is deceptive and every clue is ambiguous
A crime trail is more than just a walk through the city: you move freely through Göttingen, follow an exciting story and take on the investigation yourself. Using your smartphone and a digital investigation file, you collect clues, question suspects and decide for yourself which leads to follow up. Flexible, interactive and in the middle of real city life, Göttingen becomes the scene of a case that will have you constantly questioning what is really true.
In the "mind games" case, psychiatrist Dr. Andreas Ott is found dead in his old town apartment. The time of death can be narrowed down - but what exactly happened in this short period of time remains unclear. Ott lived alone, but had to deal with many people both professionally and privately. The police have already identified five suspects - but which of them had a convincing alibi? And above all: who had a motive?
Now it's up to you. As a team of investigators, you analyze statements, check alibis and piece together individual clues to form an overall picture. It quickly becomes clear that in this case it's not just what is said that counts, but also how. Contradictions, small details and psychological subtleties can be decisive. You constantly receive new information via the investigation chat - and have to question your assessments time and again.
Your route will take you through different facets of Göttingen: from the town hall to the green Cheltenhampark and the historic Wilhelmsplatz. Unusual places such as the Zeittankstelle will also be part of your investigation and provide new perspectives. In Göttingen's Rosarium, you'll encounter a quieter atmosphere, while the Albani Church and the traditional university form the historical backdrop to your search for clues.
