In Eritrea, the coffee ceremony is central to many situations and Eritrea is known worldwide for it. Very specific tableware is used for this. You can make your own tableware for the coffee ceremony in a pottery course. Jenni from the Pottery and Tea group in Kiel and an Eritrean person from Kiel will work with you to find out which utensils you can and like to make and will guide you. Whether finjal (cups) or a jebena (coffee pot), anything is possible. Come along, whatever your experience. After the dishes have been fired in a kiln, we will meet again two weeks later for glazing. On 30.11. you can then drink from your self-made cups at the coffee ceremony.
