For Charlotte Perriand, the suitability of architecture and design for everyday use was crucial. The needs of the future users led to her own solutions, as did the final intended use. In the apartment for a single young man, for example, she combined room compartments that were intended for mental and sporting activities. She developed liveable concepts for even the smallest rooms. These and other aspects of her work will be highlighted and discussed in numerous guided tours. In the design workshop, conceived by Krefeld designers Katrin Mevißen and Kim Schwerm, visitors can get creative themselves in search of tailor-made solutions. The WohnLab in Studio 2 will be experimenting with furnishing ideas for small spaces. There will also be jazz and culinary delights at the K+ Café in the KWM by Flavia.
