The Kunstkarussell is an intergenerational workshop format for children and adults at the Kunsthalle and Kunstmuseum Bremerhaven. A special edition is being created for the summer stage: an educational theater workshop between museum and stage, between art and theater.
We visit the museum together and decide for ourselves which works of art we find exciting. We take a close look, exchange ideas and collect ideas: What interests us? What figures, forms, moods or stories do we discover?
We then move on to the summer stage of the theater next door. There we try out theater and improvisation games, explore the stage, invent small scenes and experiment with how art can be transformed into theater. We decide for ourselves what goes on stage and how we want to show our impressions.
Simple instructions are used to create small, spontaneous play situations according to our own rules.
A workshop for everyone aged 6 and over - open to children and adults. No previous knowledge is necessary, just a desire to discover, play and try things out.
Verena Wais is a theater and dance teacher. She works at the Junges Theater Bremen and as a freelance theater and dance teacher. In her work, she deals with approaches to theater and art, the breaking up of classical stage spaces and the question of how cultural offerings can become more accessible.
Participation is free of charge.
