The aspect of conscious or unconscious collaboration in artistic production has recently received increased attention in research. The joint and collaborative production of literary texts, musical works and visual artifacts by artist duos, trios or groups has been increasingly cultivated not only since the historical avant-garde. Nowadays, collective working methods are virtually the order of the day.

At the conference , academics from all over Germany will discuss the theoretical foundations of collaboration and present specific case studies.

Participants include:
Roberto di Bella, Meryem Coskun, Daniel Ehrmann, Lisa Jüttner, Karsten Lehl, Arnold Maxwill, Henning Podulski and the Heinrich Heine University writing project Nocthene.
