The International Day of Volunteering is celebrated annually on December 5. This day was established by the United Nations to recognize and promote the commitment of volunteers worldwide. The day is intended to draw attention to the diverse contributions made by volunteers in various areas and to encourage people to get involved themselves. In Germany, there are around 30 million people who do voluntary work.
