Kupfergold

Pheasant Alarm Tour 2025

Kupfergold was founded in 2018 by Bonnie Banks, Eric Rhymes and Bummbummbasti as a medieval and folk band. Through regular appearances in the German medieval and role-playing scene as well as online concerts, the band's popularity grew steadily. The Irish folk album "Koboldkeile" was released in 2019 and finally the first album with own songs "Heiliger Bimbatz" in 2021. The carnival feature "Leuchtturm op Kölsch" was recorded in 2023 as a special guest on the "Leuchtturm Tour" by "Mr Hurley und die Pulveraffen"; this was followed in 2024 by the band's second album "Lichtermeer" and Kupfergold's first headlining tour of the same name. From this point on, the band was accompanied by Kai der Hai on bass. In the summer of 2024, gigs at the Wacken Open Air, Summerbreeze and other scene festivals followed. The band name "Kupfergold" is derived from the hair colors of Bonnie and Eric, who had already been playing occasional gigs and composing their first songs under this name as a duo since 2010. Kupfergold's music falls somewhere between folk-rock and folk-pop, with the band themselves affectionately referring to their genre as "Assi-Folk".
