Kirchner. Picasso

From the hustle and bustle of the big city to the intimacy of the studio and the tranquillity of the mountains: at the beginning of the 20th century, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Pablo Picasso were witnesses to a new era and their works tell of new beginnings, crises and passion. The exhibition "Kirchner. Picasso" at the LWL-Museum für Kunst und Kultur in Münster is the first to focus comprehensively on these two unique artists and their surprising parallels. Although they never met in person, they approached each other in their visual worlds and styles. From September, 100 works from major European museums will be on display at the LWL Museum, showing the similarities and contrasts between two of the most important artists of modernism.
