Welcome to the kingdom of the pumpkin

Experience our artfully staged pumpkin exhibition with larger-than-life sculptures, magical pumpkin backdrops and hands-on experiences for the whole family over seven weekends from 20.9.2025 to 2.11.2025. Carve your own Halloween pumpkin. Take part in the pumpkin rally or one of our numerous pumpkin games and competitions.

Enjoy our pumpkin specialties at the food stands and at our autumn market.

  • Experience the masterpieces of Kevin Crawford (Australia) & Humberto Salazar (Colombia) live.
• Pumpkin paddling
  • From the age of 14: climb into a giant pumpkin yourself or cheer on the brave paddlers.
• Pumpkin market
  • Products & varieties from all over the world - from pumpkin seed oil to pumpkin noodles, from decorations to chutneys.

  • International artists transform pumpkins into fantastic works of art - and you can take up the carving knife yourself.(September 20-21, 2025)
• Bavarian pumpkin weighing championship
  • Who will bring the biggest pumpkin to Kaltenberg? Weights of several hundred kilos are not uncommon.(September 27, 2025)
• Pumpkin Light Night
  • In the evening, Kaltenberg lights up with hundreds of pumpkin faces - from cheerful to eerily beautiful.(Every Friday / Saturday from October)
• Pumpkin Regatta
  • Paddle in a real giant pumpkin? It's possible here - and at the grand finale it's all about best times and glory.(October 3-5, 2025)
• Bavaria's biggest pumpkin soup
  • 555 liters of soup bubble in a giant pot - every portion does good, because a portion goes to a good cause.(October 10-12, 2025)
• Giant pumpkin carving festival
  • Four professional artists compete with their giant pumpkin sculptures - the audience votes!(October 17-19, 2025)
• Halloween & slaughter festival
  • Spooky walk acts, children's activities and the spectacular carving of the giant pumpkins with seed lotteries at the end.(October 31 - November 2, 2025)
