In 2024 and 2025, the artist Kristina Verzbilovska will travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee, for 4 weeks each time. She lives there with friends and photographs life in a city in the southern USA beyond the Chattanooga Choo Choo.
The exhibition "DEAR MOURNING DOVE - Fragments of the Urban South" by the Hanoverian artist shows a personal, intense and emotional insight into life in 2014 Bennett Avenue, the city of Chattanooga and the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains in Tennessee, USA. The exhibition presents artistic documentary photographs, texts, sound collages and found objects. The exhibition is curated by Katja Elsholz as part of her exhibition format kuvertüre herb.
