Lakeside - Festivalstimmung am Stauteich III

The Lakeside concert series enters its fifth year! The first of six Lakeside concerts at Stauteich III kicks off the new season on May 1.

The popular free and open-air mini festival organized by the HOT Billabong youth center will once again bring live music from young bands and artists to the lake - with original songs and covers, but always with a cool sound.

In a relaxed open-air atmosphere, you can make yourself comfortable on picnic blankets or deckchairs and enjoy the music right by the lake.

On May 1st, "Kaya" and the bands "The Gate" and "Framed Words" will share the Lakeside stage:

Kaya

Kaya, a singer-songwriter from Bielefeld, tells of personal experiences and adventures in her storytelling-style songs. Her sound is inspired by English alternative, folk (rock/punk) and indie. She had her first live performance in November 2025. She has since built up a growing repertoire of her own songs and plans to release her debut EP at the end of May 2026.

The Gate

The GATE is a young band from the Bielefeld Music and Art School. For over two years, Giada (vocals), Emma (guitar), Anton (bass), Liliana (keyboard) and Theo (drums) have been covering a wide variety of pop/rock songs together - from Amy Winehouse and Die Ärzte to Katy Perry. They reinterpret songs in Italian, German and English.

Framed Words

Framed Words is a five-piece band from Bielefeld. They have been writing their own songs for 4 years now. They play indie pop, which is characterized by their different backgrounds - from alternative rock to soul and funk. The band consists of singer Johanna, Cornelius on guitar, Bao on bass, Greta - keys and Tibor on drums.

The concert starts at 5 pm and ends at 6.30 pm. Free admission!

This year, LAKESIDE will also take place on the first Friday of every summer month: June 5, July 3, August 7, September 6 (on the first Sunday!), October 2
