LANY

US pop-rock duo in Germanyfor four shows in 2026

On their own terms and with a constantly innovating approach, LANY have continuously played their way into the mainstream as one of the most unpredictable alternative rock bands of their time. Back in 2017, the Los Angeles band landed a hit with their song "ILYSB", which has since been certified RIAA platinum and joins anthems such as "Super Far" and "13" from their debut album "LANY" in the band's undisputed top tracks. In addition, the band around the mysterious frontman and songwriter Paul Jason Klein celebrated worldwide hits with "Malibu Nights" and the collab song "Mean It" with Lauv, both of which have been streamed more than 500 million times and are among the band's most successful tracks alongside "I Quit Drinking" and many other songs. After worldwide tours, festival headline performances and the release of six albums, the band will be touring with their brand new album "Soft" in May 2026. The SOFT WORLD TOUR will take LANY to Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Munich.

LANY (an acronym that stands for "Los Angeles, New York") was founded in 2014 by singer and guitarist Paul Jason Klein, keyboardist Charles Leslie Priest and drummer Jake Clifford Goss in Nashville, Tennessee. Initial songs were followed by a first EP in 2014, which led to a signing with Polydor. While the band released the EPs "I Loved You" and "Make Out" (both 2015) and"kinda" (2016), LANY toured in support of Zella Day, Halsey, Ellie Goulding, Troye Sivan and John Mayer and, thanks to hits such as "ILYSB"and "pink skies" , made the leap to their own headline tours from 2016. While the sound of their debut album "LANY"in 2017 was still clearly indie pop and peppered with influences from electropop, their second album "Malibu Nights " developed the sound more towards soft rock and synth pop with songs like "Thick And Thin" and "Thru These Tears". With their third album "Mama's Boy", LANY finally picked up on alternative rock influences and reached number 7 on the Billboard 200 in 2020. 2021 saw the release of "gg bb xx", which brought the band back to the electronic spheres of their indie pop side. In 2022, keyboardist Priest left the band, whereupon the two existing founding members decided not to replace him, to continue as a duo and to part ways with their label. The album "A Beautiful Blur" followed in 2023 as an independent release, after which the band sold more than 300,000 tickets at over 80 shows on their a beautiful blur world tour and played headline slots at the Summer Sonic Festivals in Tokyo and Osaka. "'Cause You Have To" and "XXL" became the most successful songs on the album, which also reached number 2 on the Billboard Current Rock Albums. With their sixth studio album "Soft", LANY have once again refreshed their versatile sound and reveal a spectrum in 2025 that lies between modern indie pop ("Know You Naked"), 80s R&B ("Good Parts"), alternative rock ("Stuck") and raw, emotional and honest ballads ("Last Forever").
