The fashion industry is one of the most polluting and exploitative in the world. Fashion Revolution Week (22.-28.4.) reminds us why it can't stay that way. To kick things off, we are setting an example for a different way of living fashion with Late Night Shopping on April 21.
You can never make it to the Umsonstladen during regular opening hours? Your lectures (or other leisure activities) always take place at the same time? Have you just moved to Erlangen and are still looking for your favorite places? We've got you covered!
On 21.04. we are organizing the next late-night shopping evening for you students, trainees and young adults - with Noah (@noahphyc), who will accompany you musically throughout the evening.
You can also customize your found pieces directly on site: Leonie (@lelerich.design) will be there with her textile printing station.
From 7-10 pm you can find new treasures without supporting the purchase of new clothes.
(*no drop-off of clothes possible!)
Why the whole thing especially for young people?
Because there is a huge lever here: According to the Federal Environment Agency*, 18-29-year-olds buy clothes significantly more often (59% vs. 40% on average) and own more items that are rarely or never worn. At the same time, this is where there is the greatest potential to change consumer behavior sustainably.
Come by, browse & chat with your loved ones 🌸
